Question: We all feel the effect of the changing economy on our clients and our candidates. What are some things that can be done up front, before you ever get on the phone with the client or prospect, that can drive more trust in the conversation and reduce client's anxiety about working with us?

Between my wife and me we must personally know at least 6 realtors locally. We are planning to downsize and sell our home, so now the dilemma occurs…WHO?
We are serious about moving into a local community & while we were looking at homes we met a local realtor who lives there. We almost bought her home and in the dealings we got to know her, checked her out, and “connected” with her - Ca Ching -she got our listing.
Lesson re- learned is……FACE TIME is what matters. That is how we…

Last few years were pretty tough on the American workforce. You could separate all people into two main groups: those who had a job and those who didn't.
Majority of those who had a job were just happy to have one and stick with it, no matter how much they were interested in doing something else or moving to a different company. Because more people were willing to trade their ambitions for a steady paycheck, the job satisfaction indicator fell to record low 45% by the end of 2009. So…

In addition to my regular job responsibilities I have always loved to collect and analyze various data, trends and facts. Here's one fact that's been driving me crazy for quite a while: with a national unemployment rate stuck above 9% we are still having trouble finding qualified candidates. After hours of research I think I just found a reason for that.
Recently I've been wondering how an average job seeker feels about their job search process, so I posted an online poll asking peopl…

Disruptive Recruiting: Rethinking What Recruiting Is All About
by Kevin WheelerJun 17, 2010,
It is time to change the recruiting game. Someone has to reinvent a process that is aged, inefficient, and marginally successful in procuring high-performing employees.

When we speak with people who don’t work in the staffing industry regarding the number of candidates on the job market and the availability of candidates to place, they typically assume that since there are so many people unemployed, that we in the staffing industry should have plenty of candidates to represent to our clients.

Are you aware that some larger recruiting firms are now getting more than half their revenue by providing services Vs earning pla…
